Terence brings 14+ years of investment banking and principal investing experience. He was most recently a managing director at a merchant bank where he sourced and invested in early stage companies, taking an active role in enhancing the business strategy, building the management team, raising capital and positioning the company for an exit strategy. He also led M&A advisory and corporate finance transactions. Prior to this he was an established senior equity research analyst in Asia having covered the industrial and non-bank financial sectors, as well as macro and strategy at CLSA, Asia’s leading independent research firm. Terence was consistently ranked in the top quartile by both Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg for stock recommendation and earnings forecast accuracy, and won Wall Street Journal’s award in 2013 as a top 3 stock picker in Asia for his sector. Prior to this he worked in investment banking advising on corporate finance and M&A transactions with a focus on real estate and natural resource deals. Terence holds a bachelor of arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Mr. Yew began his finance career at Credit Suisse Securities as an Equity Analyst and complemented his capital markets experience at three other boutique investment banking firms at various roles including Investment Banking, Compliance, and as a Fund Manager. Previously, he has also served as the CEO of a public mining company trading on the TSX and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Most recently, he founded a fintech company and took it public within 3 years. Mr. Yew has an Electrical Engineering Degree from The University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Joseph L. Rotman, University of Toronto.
